About David Anderson

Hi! My name is David Anderson. I am 13 years old. I have been playing guitar since I was 10 years old, and I’ve also played played piano since I was 5 years old.

1. How did you get into guitar?
I got into guitar because my older brothers were into rock and they played guitar and drums so I wanted to be like them.
2. Who were or are your biggest musical influences?
My biggest influences are John Mayer, Green Day, Rush, Guns ‘N Roses, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
3. What music excites you right now?
Right now, I’m really into clean guitar, so John Mayer and Cory Wong, but also Classic Rock.
4. What artist, living or dead, would you most like to write or collaborate with?
I would love to collaborate with John Mayer!
5. Is there anything you are practicing at the moment?
At the moment, I am working on the Sweet Child ‘O Mine solo, because I’ve learned all the parts except for that.
6. What concert or performance changed your life?
I haven’t had many concerts, but I performed in Sweetwater Rock Camp and changed my entire perspective on music. It got me more excited to pick up my guitar and jam.
7. Which guitar is your #1 and why?
I just got a PRS SE Custom 24 Exotic Rosewood Sweetwater Exclusive. It gets me excited to noodle around and write some new music and cover others’ songs!
8. What is your favorite pedal of all time?
I don’t have many pedals but I love using my Ditto Looper and can’t wait to get my new Midnight Train Fuzz in the mail!
